They had it.

I keep repeating that phrase over and over again as I go over the many ways the Atlanta Falcons cost themselves their first Super Bowl Championship in franchise history. (more…)

NFL Playoffs 2016: It’s Time For Matt Ryan, Alex Smith To Change Their Playoff Narrative

smith

Alex Smith has guided the Chiefs to three playoff appearances in four seasons.

I’m currently reading the book “Rebel Yell”, written by S. C. Gwynne, about the life of Confederate General Stonewall Jackson. Early in the book it describes a time in Harpers Ferry, Virginia (now West Virginia) in which Jackson established himself as a worthy war general and tactician to be reckoned with. He was unassuming, disciplined, and boring by personality, but was as gifted as any in field tactics. (more…)

Fantasy Football 2014: Fantasy Football Quarterback Tiers Done My Way

Jekyll and Hyde?: Games 1-8: Stafford's numbers were 2,617 yards, 16 TD's, 6 INT's and a 94.7 rating. Games 9-16: 2,033 yards, 13 TD's, 13 INT's and a 72.1 rating

Jekyll and Hyde?: Stafford’s first-half numbers (2,617 yards, 16 TD’s, 6 INT’s and a 94.7 rating) didn’t resemble anything he did in the second-half ( 2,033 yards, 13 TD’s, 13 INT’s and a 72.1 rating)

The quarterback position is the most important position in fantasy football.

Go ahead and disagree. I say that without a hint of reservation or sarcasm. It doesn’t make sense to place the hopes of a well drafted team in the hands of someone who isn’t going to consistently give you the production you need from, what should be, the steadiest spot on your roster. (more…)

National Football League 2014: Some Friends And I Ranked All 32 NFL Quarterbacks, The Results Were Interesting

Fantasy Football 2013: Quarterback Position Is Deep, But Not As Deep As Advertised

Robert Griffin III was sensational year one, which is why it pains me to take a pass on him year two

Robert Griffin III was sensational year one, which is why it pains me to take a pass on him year two

A narrative I keep hearing this season is that the quarterback position this season is as “deep as it has ever been.” I would argue that while that statement could be true, don’t get caught waiting. (more…)

New York Jets Have A Chance To Make Things Right, Revis Will Get His Chance In NFC South

Revis stated in his press conference that the NFC South (with Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, and Cam Newton) was a "good fit" for him.

Revis says the NFC South (with Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, and Cam Newton) is a “good fit” for him. I’m not so sure.

Well it finally happened. The New York Jets finally traded one of the best cover and the best holdout corner in the National Football League. I personally think that it’s about time; if for no other reason than the Jets needed to kind of clean house.  (more…)

Matt Ryan and Russell Wilson meet after the Falcons 30-28 victory over Seattle

I’ve had to deal with a lot these past few months as a sports fan from the state of Georgia. Few fan-bases understand the agony, frustration, and stress involved with investing energy into Atlanta teams.

Well, I do, which made yesterday that much sweeter. (more…)
